Farewell Patrick at Tudor this Friday!

Reminder: This month’s informal gathering is a chance to join us to celebrate Patrick's ten years at the factory  hope you can join us....

Friday – 29th October  @ Tudor Hotel @ 1pm
As usual, on the last Friday of the month, we invite agencies and community groups reps and volunteers to come together for an informal lunch time ‘get -together’.  We normally meet at the Norfolk Hotel, however they are closed at the moment; therefore we will be meeting at the Tudor Hotel. (Beer Garden if Dry – indoors if wet).  It is a great chance to take time out of our busy schedules and catch up with each other, sharing news, and information informally. Buy your own refreshments and lunch and you can stay as short or as long as time will allow. The next two are particular special and we hope you will be able to attend.

Note: At the October Gathering we will be marking the end of era, with  Patrick Russell - The Factory’s current coordinator, with over ten years service to the Waterloo and Redfern community, he is about to commence his forthcoming Long Service Leave and Retirement

So, we would like to invite all those who know of Patrick’s outstanding work here at the Factory, to join us in celebrating and recognising his achievements. (In addition, it’s also Mike's Birthday!! ) . Our November gathering will be our last Gathering event of 2010.

Festival Plannning Day No.1

Calling all children workers, event organisers, fund raisers, and community arts workers – we need your help and expertise.
The Factory Community Centre has a 30 year history of engaging artists in community development projects.
In October 2012, along with our partners we will host the 12th World Festival of Children’s Theatre.
Kids from all over the world will come to Australia to perform together, do workshops together and most importantly make best friends for life.

And where will this happen?

This is the dream...
So, if you are a community artist, local businessman, director, writer, performer, financier, critic, manager, musician, dancer, fundraiser, youth leader... young or young at heart... and would like to help make this dream  become a reality, join us for a day of brainstorming, sharing ideas, workshoping and planning as we make our dream ... a festival like no other.
